My name is Bledar Haxihu, I’m 46 years old and a truck driver for Meta S.p.A. The Concorde Group gave me the chance to do a job that corresponds with what I really wanted to do. I started working at Meta in the fall of 1997 at the age of 20. I had a different job description then, I was a production worker in the atomized powder area. With the help of more experienced co-workers I learned this trade quickly, and after only six months I was already able to work on my own. Then as now our motto was "those who never try never fail," a way of thinking that still today allows young people to put themselves to the test.

My passion, however, has always been trucks, and Meta appealed to me because it has a transportation system that’s unique in Italy. In fact, at the company we have to move large silos weighing up to 24,000 kg, which requires trucks and special skills. I jumped at the chance. While I was working, in the evenings I started studying to get a license for driving these vehicles, and I was able to pass the exams also thanks to the support of my co-workers. Today, I also manage the company's trucks from an organizational point of view. The Concorde Group is a sure thing. In recent years we’ve gone through periods of crisis and even a global pandemic together, but operations never stopped. We were always working, transporting atomized powder to ceramic tile company customers.

At a time in history when nothing was certain, my job has continued to be a source of stability for me and my family. Furthermore, the Concorde Group organizes continuous training and refresher courses, which are essential for people like me who work in the plants thanks to specific licenses. Workplace safety is a fundamental element that requires constant preparation. The Concorde Group gave me the chance to learn two trades. I often tell my co-workers that it’s important to be part of a solid, reliable company. All that’s left for us to do is our job, seriously and with skill. The Concorde Group will take care of the rest.
